
Jennifer always longed to be a multi-tasking superstar. Jennifer was a lover of various styles of music as a kid, including Afro-Caribbean music styles like salsa, merengue, and the bachata. Later on, as an adult her favorite genres were the mainstream genres of pop music, R&B, and hip-hop. She loved music but was also fascinated by the motion picture industry. Her greatest influence was Rita Moreno musical, West Side Story (1961). At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer, besides being an entertainer and a Catholic schoolgirl, attended eight years of Holy Family Catholic elementary school in The Bronx. After a time of four years in the Bronx, she graduated from Preston High School, an all-girls preparatory school. At school, Jennifer was an amazing athlete and participated in tennis and track. In the Castle Hill neighbourhood was her house for the duration of her adult life. At 18, Jennifer moved out of the home of her parents. Lopez was a lawyer at this period, while taking dance classes at night.
